Welcome to another Durarara! review!.

Episode 4 was very interesting it  focusing  on the back story of our neko rider but she has a name, Celty Sturluson (which i knew but i prefered her alter ego ;D ) they did give her a voice which is fantastic i love her voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro aka Canaan only show i know her voice from, also we follow a young doctor named Shinra Kishitani his voice actor is Jun Fukuyama aka Lelouch from code geass but not like his other roles seems more quiet and calm. So with the names out of the way Celtry is living with Shinra at his appartment also seems like he has developed a bit of a crush on her we learn he has lived with her since he was four, while she does deliverys for people while searching for her head. Shinra is a doctor often helping as a hired doctor when the different gangs fight to clean up doing surgery or altering peoples faces, ( sounds like a movie! wait..it is lol) so thats his role, also doing research on Seltry about her powers and that strange black smoke  the two of them communicate through her cell phone and laptop.

From what i gather the two of them have a  love hate relationship Shinra annoys her with his questions and talking, while getting payment for a earlier job Izaya comments on some old man who draws peoples portraits for money and how he saw a headless woman years ago in Ireland, this grabs Celty’s attention and goes off to investigate eventually she finds the old man after searching the city but ends up in a dead end with him. Shinra tells us the rest of the story how she wakes up in the past with no memory and missing her head she knows her name and her abilities, which takes her from Ireland to Japan after hearing her head might be there and we get to see where she gets her bike guess putting the soul of her horse into it or something like that?( lol alchemy?) this is where Shinra first meets Celtry after seeing her use her powers and missing a head he rushes to his father this sparks his curiosity, Asking her if she agrees to be examined he would help her find her head Shinra’s dad begins to examine her but makes his four year old son do the actual cutting ( lol thanks..dad…) and of course he falls in love with her. Shinra starts to pester Celtry telling her to give up looking for her head, and stay with him forever guess he is quite obsessed with her preferring her without the head that or he is afraid she will leave him once she finds her head.

Final thoughts on this episode, it was kind of slow but kept my attention flashing back and forth from the past and present patching together why and how she arrived in japan and living with Shinra,  hes cool but a bit strange hes very very into Celty I did enjoy how the two of them interact shows Celty has some personality which is nice i didn’t want her to be zombie like, but now has a  voice fits very well brings up questions too if Shinra actually knows where her head is I have seen posts where they show a head inside a container in the opening video that could be hers, but i think its still the girl with the large scar on her neck unless someones trying to recreate a Dullahan ? also Shinra’s father he seems a bit shady too they didn’t reveal his face so maybe hes got more information on her power and missing head. Cant wait for more! so exciting… =)
